The case against Anthony Helinski is headed to trial. The former Andover middle school teacher arrested and charged with alleged child endangerment pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on Monday, WHAV has confirmed.
Lawrence resident Helinski’s latest court appearance came less than two weeks after he voluntarily resigned from his role as an engineering teacher at Doherty Middle School. Employed since 2014, his resignation was effective Oct. 1, two weeks after he turned himself in to Salem, N.H., police after a viral video surfaced of the 34-year-old encouraging a young girl to climb inside an arcade-style game at the Mall at Rockingham Park to steal prizes.
Charged with three counts of theft, two counts of criminal trespass and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, Helinski goes to trial in New Hampshire’s 10th Circuit Court on Dec. 13.
