Haverhill Public Meetings For Week of Oct. 29

The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Tuesday, Oct. 30

Board of Assessors meets between 9 and 10 a.m., in the Assessor’s Office, room 115 at Haverhill City Hall. The meeting will revolve around excising interim value progress.

Haverhill Retirement Board is attending the Haverhill City Council meeting at 7 p.m. in the Theodore A. Pelosi Jr. City Council Chambers, room 204 in Haverhill City Hall. Members will discuss the cost of living adjustments for retirees.

Items include discussion of Question 3 on the November ballot that concerns discrimination on the basis of gender identity, a possible extension of a contract with Whitsons New England, Inc. concerning a food service program; a discussion with Superintendent Margaret Marotta over a financial operations review of Haverhill Public Schools, and a discussion over illegal hunting concerns in the Atlanta Street area.

Thursday, Nov. 1

Haverhill License Commission meets at 6 p.m.: Commissioners are expected to address the conduct of New Lantern Cafe patron John O. Perrault.
