Haverhill Man Arrested at Central Plaza for Allegedly Passing Bad Checks

A Grove Street man was arrested at Haverhill’s Central Plaza this week, charged with multiple counts of alleged larceny and check forgery, police said.

Twenty-one-year-old Andrys Paulino Santana was taken into custody by Det. James Cotreau at 2 Water St., at 3:14 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23.

In addition to three larceny charges, Paulino Santana must answer to three counts of check forgery and two counts of passing false checks.

Across the city on Tuesday, Officer John Orsillo arrested 41-year-old Merrimac woman Rana Harb for allegedly shoplifting from the Target store at 35 Computer Drive. Harb also faces a warrant-related charge of alleged identity fraud, police said.
