Maryann R. Benedetti, 74, Retired Comcast Customer Service Manager

Maryann R. Benedetti, 74, of Haverhill, died Wednesday morning, Oct. 3, at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen.

She was born in Haverhill, on May 11, 1944, the daughter of the late Dandalo and Elvira (Ciavatta) Benedetti.

Educated in the Haverhill school system, she graduated from Haverhill High School with the class of 1962. She also earned a certificate in business management studies from Radcliffe College later in life.

After high school, she was employed in retail at the former Benedetti’s Shoe Store, as well as at the former J.M. Fields and Syms.

Until her retirement in 2013 she was employed as a customer service manager for Comcast for over 25 years.

Benedetti believed in charitable efforts and volunteerism, and found her greatest reward as a devoted volunteer for Remote Area Medical (RAM), which provides free mobile medical services and disaster relief efforts to those who are unable to afford medical care in the U.S.

She was the sister of the late Ernest Benedetti and sister-in-law of the late Louise Landry Vestuto.

Her survivors include a niece, Faith Benedetti of Winthrop, Maine, and three beloved friends, Pamela Glover of Dorchester, Joseph Ahern of Haverhill and Linda Rill of Haverhill.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday morning, Oct. 9, from 10-10:45 a.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
