Last year, city activist and longtime resident Ken Quimby Jr. donated his fine fir, allowing the Department of Public Works to cut it from his yard and transport it to Washington Square. Sculptor Dale Rogers finished off the seasonal display with a metal star created at his Ward Hill studio.

The deadline for tree submissions is Nov. 12, with the ultimate holiday centerpiece being chosen by members of the Downtown Haverhill Committee. To submit your tree for consideration, contact the Chamber at 978-373-5663.
