Haverhill Police Arrest Two for Alleged Cocaine, Fentanyl Trafficking on 8th Avenue

A Haverhill man and Derry, N.H. woman were arrested and charged over the weekend with alleged cocaine and fentanyl trafficking on the city’s 8th Avenue, police said.

Officer Dana Burrill Jr., took 43-year-old Nichols Street resident Jose Vazquez and 35-year-old Heather Simmons into custody on 8th Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday night, charging both with alleged cocaine and fentanyl trafficking. Vazquez must also answer to a cocaine possession charge.

Haverhill’s Darren Brousseau was also arrested at the time by Burrill and charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Elsewhere in the city, police took Salisbury 31-year-old Brandon Gray into custody on Washington Street Sept. 28, charging him with four counts of trespassing, four counts of a nighttime breaking and entering felony and four counts of resisting arrest, among other offenses.
