Doris F. Benoit, 62, Home Health Aide

Doris F. Benoit, 62, of Haverhill, passed away Sept. 29 after a long battle with illness with her loving daughter by her side at Baker-Katz nursing home in Haverhill.

Born in Woonsocket, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Marcel C. and Helen (Ouellette) Benoit. As a long term resident of Manville (Lincoln, R.I.), she attended Catholic school in Manville and was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Lincoln, R.I., Class of 1974. She also attended Community College of Rhode Island at the Flanagan Campus. Benoit worked for many years as a home health aide and spent most of her free time helping others. A free spirited self-described child of the 70’s, Benoit loved classical rock music. She enjoyed lending a helping hand to those in need, traveling with her mother and sister and attending various concerts. A devoted mother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving daughter Victoria P. Lahey and her spouse Colleen of Haverhill, her sister Ann R. Benoit of Cranston, R.I., a niece and several nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Raymond C. Benoit.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, Oct. 4 from 4:00PM until 6:30PM at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 6:30 p.m.
