Charline A. (Spencer) Henry, 69, Worked at Endicott College, Hilton Oil

Charline A. (Spencer) Henry, 69, longtime Haverhill resident, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Holy Family Hospital, Haverhill.

Henry was born in Lawrence June 16, 1949, daughter of the late Roland and Arline (French) Spencer who raised four girls. She was raised in Methuen, attended St. Anne’s High School, Lawrence, and graduated from Merrimack College.

She was the wife of Douglas Henry, whom they have shared almost 28 years of marriage. Henry worked for many years at Merrimack College with Campus Ministry where she enjoyed volunteer service trips with the ministry which filled her heart. She also worked at Endicott College and currently with Hilton Oil in Lawrence. She was an “Event Coordinator Extraordinaire,” and the “Planning Director” for her family and friends. She always wanted to make sure all were having a good time. Her activities included musical theater, time at the beach and the mountains to name a few, but most of all she enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband Douglas, her surviving family members include her son Robert “Bobby” Henry of Lincoln, N.H.; sisters Marilyn Provencher and husband Vincent of Methuen, Maureen Pilch and her late husband Frank of Salem, N.H., and Justine Marsan and husband Paul of Methuen; best friend Helen Anderson and husband Paul of Salem, N.H.; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation is Thursday, Oct. 4, at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Haverhill, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish–St. Theresa’s Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, at 10 a.m. Please meet directly at the church. Burial follows in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
