Haverhill Patrolman Kevin Lynch was promoted to sergeant during a swearing in ceremony Thursday morning.
Lynch was sworn in during a ceremony in Mayor James J. Fiorentini’s office with Police Chief Alan R. DeNaro, Deputy Chief Anthony Haugh and City Clerk Linda Koutoulas.
Lynch has been a member of the Haverhill Police Department since 1994, serving with the auxiliary force and as a reserve officer until 2003, when he was sworn in as a full-time patrolman. Sergeant Lynch also currently serves in the United States Navy Reserve.
