Jordan Olivia Rankin, the 17-year-old Haverhill High senior killed in a car crash Monday night, is being remembered for her many activities, including her participation in lacrosse, soccer, field hockey and track.
Rankin died after a two-car crash around 9 p.m., Monday night, in the area of Crystal and Liberty Streets, just off route 97 in Haverhill. She was taken by ambulance to Lawrence General Hospital and then airlifted to a Boston Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Besides sports, she enjoyed caring for animals, especially her family’s cats. Haverhill School Superintendent Margaret Marotta said a memorial is planned for later this week.
Calling hours for Rankin are Thursday, Sept. 27, from 4-8 p.m., at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Haverhill. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial takes place Friday, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main St., Haverhill.
