Jordan Olivia Rankin, 17, Victim of Monday Car Accident; Active in Sports

Jordan Olivia Rankin, 17, of Haverhill, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, from injuries sustained in a automobile accident.

She was born in Methuen, Aug. 21, 2001, the cherished daughter of John and Cindy (Pupa) Rankin. Jordan was a lifelong resident of Haverhill, attending Sacred Hearts School in Bradford from kindergarten through the eighth grade and was currently a senior at Haverhill High School where she loved playing many sports including lacrosse, soccer, field hockey and track. She also cared for animals, especially her family’s cats. Jordan worked at Market Basket, Westgate Plaza in Haverhill in addition to her many other activities.

In addition to her loving parents, Jordan is survived by her siblings Johnny and Julia Rankin; grandparents Gerald “Papa” and Virginia “Bam” Pupa; special auntie and other aunts and uncles; many cousins; best friend Christina and many caring friends. She was also the granddaughter of the late John and Eleanor Rankin.

Visitation is Thursday, Sept. 27, at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main St., Haverhill, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main St., Haverhill, at 11 a.m. Please meet directly at the church. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jordan’s memory to the Angelo Petrozzelli Food Pantry of Sacred Hearts Parish, 48 S. Chestnut St., Bradford, MA 01835.
