Haverhill’s riverfront will be rockin’ on Saturday, Sept. 22 during the city’s annual all-day River Ruckus concert, food festival and fireworks display.
Starting at noon, Washington Street will be closed to traffic as an antique car show, free Zumba class, beer garden and other activities take over the city’s business district.
As Team Haverhill’s Keri Alves told Bill Macek in an appearance on WHAV’s Open Mic Show, all classic cars are welcome to roll down Washington Street. Attendees are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, said Alves. Vehicles may line up as early as 11 a.m. for the noon kickoff.
Live music runs from noon until 7:30 p.m., with an 8 p.m. fireworks display planned over the Merrimack River.
