Haverhill Police Patrolman Guy Cooper is headed from the cruiser to the catwalk as one of the celebrity first responder models at Thursday’s Nevins Passion for Fashion charity fashion show at DiBurro’s.
Urged to participate by his Haverhill Police supervisor, Capt. Robert P. Pistone, Cooper told WHAV he happily signed on after learning all of the proceeds would go to support the Nevins Family of Services’ Merrimack Valley-area patients living with Alzehimer’s disease.

Cooper was tight-lipped on his runway background music, but told WHAV he’ll trade in his Haverhill Police uniform for two different tuxeds during his trips down the catwalk.
With several of his coworkers planning to attend Thursday’s event, Cooper admits he’s a little nervous to hit the catwalk.
“I’m kind of now stressing out. I can’t just walk out there—I have to work something! I need to do a strut, a dance—I don’t know what to call it.”
Cooper is otherwise ready for the spotlight, he tells WHAV. After all, the patrolman has appeared in more than a dozen feature films in recent years, including The Equalizer and Ted 2. Most recently, he stripped down for Adam Sandler’s “Father of the Year,” filmed locally in Waltham, to appear alongside David Spade as a test subject for an experimental nipple cream.
A member of the SAG/AFTRA actors’ union, Cooper auditioned for a new Mark Wahlberg project two weeks ago, he told WHAV. The law enforcement veteran hopes to pursue acting full-time after retiring from the force in five years, he tells WHAV.
“I’ve done law enforcement for almost 28 years and you’ve got to have that little break,” he explains. “That’s my little break: I do that on the side and it breaks the monotony up.”
