Days after a Lowell Avenue home received damage from several gunshots, Haverhill Police announced the arrest of a city man for disorderly conduct at the same address.
Thirty-year-old Hector Negron listed a Temple Street home address when he was arrested by Officer Jared Brady at 257 Lowell Avenue around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday night.
In addition to a disorderly conduct charge, Negron also must answer to motor vehicle-related charges including operating under the influence of liquor, police said.
The single-family cape-style home near the Westgate shopping plaza has been on the police department’s radar since it was shot at multiple times over the Labor Day weekend. Stationing the department’s white police armored vehicle there as a precaution, officers were again called to the residence this week to investigate a car fire.
In 2015, Haverhill Police descended on the property to execute a search warrant connected to a narcotics unit investigation. As WHAV reported at the time, Meagan Oliver of Haverhill, Negron, then living in Lawrence, James Silva of Plaistow, N.H. and Brad Barber of Raymond, N.H., were arrested and charged with possession of Percocet. Police also seized $2,100 in cash said to be drug proceeds.
