Haverhill’s Thomas Shanahan is the Massachusetts State Lottery’s lastest ‘ultimate’ millionaire!
The city resident is the Lottery’s 41st instant prize winner, taking home a $650,000 lump sum after trying his luck with a $30 “Ultimate Millions” scratch ticket from the Qwik Mart at 764 Main St.
Shanahan picked up his winnings at the Braintree Lottery headquarters Wednesday, officials said.
The often-lucky lottery retailer Qwik Mart receives a $10,000 bonus for selling Shanahan’s ticket. Last June, Haverhill’s Norma Giorato purchased a random quick pick ticket at the same store that netted her a $100,000 prize.
