William P. Zoulias, 83, Owned Environmental Services Company

William P. Zoulias, 83, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the home of his daughter in Exeter, N.H. on Saturday, Sept. 1.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of the late Louis and Margaret (Klabatseas) Zoulias. He attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School’s class of 1953.

Zoulias spent his entire career to better our environment. An honest, hard-working man, he was self-made. He owned Chem Test Analytical and Environmental Services. Providing superior service to the federal government with the transportation and disposal of hazardous waste from various branches of armed service locations throughout New England. A devoted family man, his family—namely his children—worked alongside their father, learning a good work ethic and providing quality service. In his younger years Zoulias enjoyed fast pitch softball, pitching for Lebro’s café. He was a fan of boxing and enjoyed traveling, especially to casinos and loved to dance.

He leaves his loving children Jeffrey L. Zoulias of Haverhill, Patricia N. Zoulias of Peabody, Deborah L. Zoulias of Haverhill, William C. and his wife, Kimberly (Broccoli) Zoulias of Hudson, N.H., Karen M. Zoulias of Haverhill, Mary Beth Niebrzydowski and her husband, David, of Exeter, N.H., and Laurie A. Hurley, of Quincy, Fla., 18 cherished grandchildren Jocelyn Kassis, Timothy, London, Sierra, Parese, and Emily Zoulias, Joan-Marie Pagan, Amanda Wezesa, Nicole Reardon, Scott Savoie, Stephanie Patenaude, Michael, Liz, Darlene Hatmacker and Trisha Hurley, 17 great-grandchildren Destiny Alves, Edric Twine, Ava, Bella, and Sophia Kassis, Xavier, Gerald, Chance, and Legion Zoulias, Julien, Camron, and Olivia Reardon, Sarah, Abigail, and Adam Patenaude and Layla and Madeline Hurley. He also leaves his sister Helen Tsouramanis, of Haverhill and former wife Mary (Cortes) Zoulias, of Haverhill, his Godchild; Tara Katsimpas and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson Jeffrey L. Zoulias Jr., and Christine Zoulias and his siblings George Zoulias, Daniel Tulois, Paul Tsoulias, Rosie Durbin, and Charles “Tada” Zoulias.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A Funeral Mass for will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Peter and St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, Winter Street, Haverhill. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Mill Street, Haverhill.
