Clement M. Houle, 73, Former Machinist

Clement M. Houle, 73, of Bradford, husband of Nicole C. Houle, passed away Sunday, Sept. 2 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston after an illness.

Born in Coleraine, Quebec, Canada, he was the son of the late, Alexandre and Adrienne (Belanger) Houle. Raised and educated in Canada, he then migrated to Lawrence in 1963 and finally settled in Bradford. For many years Houle was employed as a machine operator at Craig Systems in Amesbury and later for Scandia Plastics. He was a diehard Montreal Canadians fan, enjoyed collecting model cars and loved classic music such as Elvis and Tammy Wynette.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves his beloved wife of 51 years, Nicole C. (Beaulieu) Houle, of Bradford, a loving daughter Helen Houle-Cressy and her husband, Brian, of East Kingston, N.H., cherished granddaughter Chantal Diodati, of Haverhill, a brother Alain Houle and his partner Charlotte Gallagher, of Salem, N.H., three sisters Denise Lacasse and her husband, Claude, of Florida, Collette Demers and her husband Jean of Salem, N.H., and Lucy Margeson and her husband, James of Florida, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Houle and sister-in-law Jeannine (Nadeau) Houle.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, Sept. 6 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill.
