A 30-year-old Methuen man drew local police to a home on the city’s Pine Street Tuesday morning, resulting in a standoff complete with tactical units, several days after he managed to escape Lowell Police custody while still in handcuffs.

Methuen Police Chief Joseph E. Solomon said his officers worked alongside Lowell authorities to arrest Aaron Russo “without incident” after the man barricaded himself inside. Lowell Police had been searching for Russo since his Sept. 1 arrest on motor vehicle charges, and said he escaped their custody shortly after his arrest.

Also arrested Tuesday on Pine Street was Brandie Queen, who must answer to narcotics charges, Solomon said.
