Salem Street Activity Brings Firearms, Drug Arrests Thursday

A 51-year-old Haverhill man faces firearms charges after being arrested by Haverhill Police early Thursday afternoon.

Richard Madison, of 16 Salem St., Bradford, was arrested at his home at about 12:30. He was charged with possession of a large capacity firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlicensed ammunition and reckless endangerment of a child.

Later, at the same address, police arrested 18-year-old Everett Rickett, of 28 Lewis St., and charged him with possession of drugs with intent to distribute. Others arrested on unidentified warrants were Tyler Gonyer, 21, also of 16 Salem St., and Matthew Schouler, 25, of 75 Portland St.

Haverhill Police Detective Capt. Stephen J. Doherty Jr. told WHAV the arrests came as a result of search warrant.
