Haverhill Police Arrest Six in Separate Drug Investigations

Haverhill Police made a number of drug-related arrests over the weekend.

Twenty-nine-year-old Tamara Benson, and 36-year-old Jason Purington, both of Mechanic Falls, Maine, were arrested just before 7 p.m., Friday, on Cleveland Avenue. They were each charged with possession of drugs with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

Twenty-five-year-old Vanessa Pereira, of Haverhill, was arrested at about 12:30, Friday afternoon, and charged with drug possession and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

On Sunday, police also arrested 34-year-old Holli Soltish, of Haverhill, on three counts of drug possession and using a disguise to obstruct justice. Soltish was arrested just after 5 a.m. in Lafayette Square.

Later, around 10:30 p.m., police arrested 37-year-old Jeanine Demers, and 47-year-old Raymond Stefanelli, both of Manchester, N.H., on South Main Street. Demers was charged with drug possession, while Stefanelli was charged with two counts of drug possession, using a disguise to obstruct justice, driving with a suspended license and an automobile lights violation.
