A 37-year-old Lawrence man and a 36-year-old Haverhill woman were arrested separately Wednesday for trafficking in the deadly drug fentanyl and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
David Ruiz, of Lawrence, was arrested just after 11 a.m. on Interstate 495 north. Besides fentanyl trafficking and conspiracy, he was charged with selling a class A drug and three counts of drug possession with intent to distribute.
Separately, Christine Ryan, of 93 Hilldale Ave., was arrested just before 7 p.m. on Hilldale Avenue.
