Brandon T. McCarthy, 18, Died at Children’s Hospital

Brandon T. McCarthy, 18, of Haverhill, passed away July 24, at Children’s Hospital in Boston with his family by his side.

Born in Haverhill, he was the son of Daniel T. and Karla S. (Guerin) McCarthy of Bradford. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he attended Haverhill schools and Kevin Beaudoin’s Life Skills Program at the Nettle School. Known for his infectious and funny sense of humor, it was a joy to be in his company. He was a young man who made friends with everyone he met. He enjoyed his favorite foods including Chinese food, loved swimming and playing basketball with his Dad and his beloved brother Ryan who was always at his side. He was also an avid collector of movies and music.

Besides his parents, he leaves his brother, Ryan D. McCarthy of Bradford; grandmother Mary H. McCarthy of Bradford; aunts and uncles, Jeffrey Guerin and his wife Maria of Bradford; Kim E. Seliger and her husband Matthew of Smithtown, N.Y.; John J. Guerin and his wife Lisa of Bradford; Kathy A. McInnes of Derry, N.H.; Kristine Twombly and her husband Jerry of Bradford; several great aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dog Murphy. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Edith B. Guerin, and his uncles, Daniel L. Guerin and Bruce G. McInnes.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, July 27, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services are Saturday in the funeral home at 11 a.m.
