Less than 48 hours after Haverhill’s Eric Stagno made national headlines for stripping down during a workout at Planet Fitness, the city resident was arrested again, taken into custody by Haverhill Police on a warrant-related charge.

Stagno, of 17 Brockton Ave., was arrested by Officer Ryan Connolly near Trinity Stadium on Lincoln Avenue just before noon on Tuesday, July 24, according to an arrest log. The exact charge Stagno faces was not immediately available.

The 34-year-old faces indecent exposure and disorderly conduct charges out of Plaistow stemming from a Sunday, July 22 trip to the Plaistow Road Planet Fitness gym. Plaistow Police Capt. Brett Morgan told WHAV the Haverhill resident shocked fellow patrons after stripping down at the door and settling into a yoga-like pose fully nude before his arrest.

“The only statement he made was that he thought it was a ‘judgment free zone,’ apparently referencing the chain’s slogan,” Morgan said.

Stagno was released from Plaistow custody on $1,000 bail and appears in court Sept. 21.
