MaryAnn Cammarata, 75, Former Director of Haverhill Day Care Center

MaryAnn Cammarata, 75, of Haverhill passed away on Friday, July 20 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

She was born in Boston on Aug. 15, 1942, the daughter of the late Ignatious and Helen (Famigletti) Caruso.

Educated in the Boston Public Schools, Cammarata graduated from Sacred Heart High School in East Boston in 1960. She attended Salem State College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in teaching and her master’s degree in guidance. A career educator, she taught in the Pentucket Regional School System and served as the director of the Haverhill Day Care Center for 20 years before her retirement.

She enjoyed going out for trips in the car, going out to dinner, socializing with her many friends, and was an active member in the Red Hat Society. She took great pride in her home and enjoyed making a loving and peaceful home for her husband and family.

She is survived by her loving husband, William Cammarata of Haverhill as well as her two sons, John E Cammarata of Haverhill and David Cammarata of Miami, Fla.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday, July 25 at 2 p.m. at the Linwood Chapel at Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in MaryAnn’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
