Linda J. (Esty) Eddy, 62, Floral Designer

Linda J. (Esty) Eddy, 62, of Goffstown, N.H., passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, July 18.

She was born in Haverhill on June 25, 1956, the daughter of Roy E. Esty of Groveland and the late Irene T. (Morley) Esty.

Eddy was educated in the Pentucket school system and graduated from Pentucket Regional High School with the class of 1974. She attended Essex Agricultural School earning an associate’s degree in floral design. She was employed for 10 years at various florists as a floral designer. She enjoyed knitting and socializing with friends and family alike. In 1989 she moved to Manchester where she settled.

Eddy was predeceased by her daughter, Courtney Lynne Eddy, who passed away in 2000, and her mother Irene (Morley) Esty, who died in 1981.

She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, David A. Eddy of Goffstown, N.H., her father, Roy E. and his wife Rosalie (Pina) Esty of Groveland, two stepsons, David A. Eddy of Lowell and Michael J Eddy and his wife Sarah of Nashua, N.H., a brother Steven and his wife Nancy Esty of Haverhill, three grandchildren, longtime friend Lisa Flemming and her husband Allistar of Malmesbury, England as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, July 21, from 2-5 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Funeral service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Mass General Hospital Pulmonary Dept., Bulfinch 148, Boston, MA 02114.
