Debra J. Mason, 60, Employed with Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua

Debra J. Mason, 60, of Nashua, N.H., and formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully Saturday July 7, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

She was the wife of David Mason. She was born in Haverhill, Aug. 30, 1957, daughter of Francis (Warburton) Vachon and the late Bordon Vachon. She was raised in Haverhill, attending local schools and graduating from Haverhill High School. Mason later graduated from Salem State University with a bachelor’s in arts. She was employed with Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Nashua for more than 15 years in the medical billing department.

Mason was a lover of the arts and enjoyed spending time with family, most especially her grandchildren.

Besides her husband of 36 years, she is survived by three children, Laura Martocchio and husband Joseph of Wilmington, Matthew Mason of Nashua, N.H., and Stephanie Mason of Nashua, N.H.; mother, Francis Vachon of Haverhill; grandchildren, Salvatore and Alexandria; sister, Amy MacRae and husband Bill of Haverhill; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Mason and wife Mary of Rhode Island. She will also be remembered by her niece, nephews and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, July 13, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home, 129 Kenoza Ave. Haverhill. Burial is private.
