A Methuen man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly attacked another man in what police say was a fight over half an ounce of marijuana.

Chief Joseph E. Solomon told WHAV his officers were dispatched to the 23 Bentley Circle home of Michael Dubois around 5 p.m., where they found 46-year-old Dubois and another man, 35-year-old Dennis Deschamps, who had minor cuts on his arm.

The fight began, Solomon said, when Dubois showed Deschamps the marijuana and Deschamps refused to give it back.

Dubois has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, Solomon told WHAV.
