Two separate car accidents in Haverhill on Friday left a pedestrian and two motorists with injuries. On Friday morning just after 7 a.m., a 29-year-old Haverhill woman was struck by a black pickup truck as she crossed Merrimack Street, police spokesman Capt. Stephen Doherty told WHAV.

The woman was walking north across Merrimack Street near the A-1 Deli and Landmark Building when she was struck. No criminal charges were filed and the victim was listed in stable condition after being transported to a Boston-area hospital for treatment.

Across town at 1:53 p.m., two cars collided in a head-on crash on the city’s River Street. Both drivers were injured, Doherty told WHAV. One driver, a 62-year-old Malden man, was sent to a Boston hospital and was listed in critical condition as of late afternoon Friday. The other driver, a 63-year-old from Newton, N.H., received treatment locally for minor injuries.

No charges were filed in that crash and the investigation is ongoing.
