A Friday morning Haverhill community forum will offer more information on the affordable housing options coming to the city’s Mount Washington neighborhood.

Held from 10-11:30 a.m. at 409 Washington St., the meeting is hosted by the Lawrence-based Bread & Roses Housing program and provides an early look at the 10 units planned for the site formerly occupied by St. George’s Catholic Church.

Camila Lopez of Bread & Roses tells WHAV that the project is the organization’s first in Haverhill and in the very early stages. As such, no housing applications will be accepted at Friday’s forum.

Residents interested in the housing opportunity can expect additional meetings to be scheduled once construction of the units is halfway complete, Lopez said. There is no formal timetable for the start of construction.

To stay up to date on the project, residents are asked to contact Bread & Roses Housing at 978-685-1823.
