Gwendolyn ‘Gwen’ M. (Comeau) Belanger, 82, Spent Retirement as a Walmart Greeter

Gwendolyn “Gwen” M. (Comeau) Belanger, 82, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on June 27 surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Camille Comeau and Ethel Clark. Belanger worked for over 30 years as a machine operator, printing circuit boards at Western Electric and Frequency Devices. After her retirement, she enjoyed being a door greeter at Walmart.

Belanger was a devout member of All Saints Parish in Haverhill, where she attended Bible groups and played bingo. Always the social butterfly, she loved to spend as much time as she could with family and friends

Predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Donald Belanger, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters Dawn Lundin and her husband Marc of Merrimac, Linda LeClair and her husband Scott of Fremont, N.H., and her son George Belanger and his wife Theresea of Whitefield, N.H., her sister Wilda Roman of Palm Coast, Fla., grandchildren Marc and Amy Belanger, Freddie LeClair, Andrew Carroll, Maegan Lundin, and great-grandchild Drew Carroll. Belanger was predeceased by her sisters Eleanor Thompson, Janice Cronk, brothers, Robert Elms, and Richard Comeau.

Relatives and friends may attend her Life Celebration on Friday, June 29 from 4-7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will begin on Saturday, June 30 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 10 a.m. at All Saints Church, Haverhill. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.
