Jeanne C. Hart, 82, Registered Nurse

Jeanne C. Hart, 82, of Haverhill, passed away on Sunday, June 24, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Hart was born on Sept. 23, 1935 in Salem and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Annette (Michaud) Mailhoit.

She was educated at St. Joseph’s Academy in Salem. She later graduated from Catherine Laboure College of Nursing in 1957 and was a registered nurse at North Shore Medical Center for 41 years.

Hart volunteered at the North Shore Cancer Walk for several years and was the volunteer coordinator for fine arts at the Topsfield Fair for several years. She also enjoyed showing and selling her artwork at the Topsfield Fair.

She was predeceased by her two husbands, Raymond D. Tardiff, formerly of Salem and John H. Hart, Jr. formerly of Peabody. She was also predeceased by her son, David Tardiff.

Her survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Tardiff of Plains, Mont., Thomas and Cheryl Tardiff of Sterling, Va., Marc and Christine Tardiff of Mont Vernon, N.H., one daughter, Catherine and Michael Brown of Haverhill, one brother, Richard Mailhoit, her grandchildren, Cassandra Brown of Newtown, Conn., Matthew Tardiff of Old Forty, N.C., Joshua Tardiff of Richmond, Va., Bradley Tardiff, serving in the U.S. Army in Poland, Deanna Tardiff of Fitchburg, Michelle Cortez, Theresa Hawthorn, and six great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and close friends.
