Downed trees and scattered power outages marked the aftermath of Monday’s thunder and rain storms.

A few Haverhill streets were either fully or partially blocked, including Primrose Street. Haverhill Police said it was necessary to close the street between Ninth and 14th Avenues after a tree came down in the vicinity of St. James Cemetery. Utility lines were also laying in the roadway.

Power outages were noted in various parts of the city, including Bradford, Rocks Village and areas near downtown. Some areas were still without electricity as of this morning.

Methuen Police reported closing Tyler Street after a large tree came down and blocked the roadway. Residents were without power in that area as well as near Howe Street.

Plaistow. N.H., reported a large tree came down in the area of 34 Sweethill Road, leaving a hole near the roadway.
