A local woman was cited for texting while driving after she hit two parked cars and rolled over in an accident that took place just behind the Andover police station late Saturday night.

According to Andover police spokesman Lt. Edward Guy, the 27-year-old driver was following her GPS home when she took a left onto Lewis Street just before midnight. After making the turn, her 2017 Jeep Cherokee struck a parked Saab and Volkswagen Passat before the Jeep rolled onto its roof, Guy told WHAV.

The woman’s vehicle is likely totaled, Guy said, estimating that $1,000 in damage was done to both parked cars.

She was cited for texting while driving and impeded operation, according to police.
