Priscilla M. (Walker) Roberts, 85, Former Massachusetts Electric Secretary

Priscilla M. (Walker) Roberts, 85, the wife of the late Arthur J. Roberts, passed away peacefully on June 5 at Port Rehab in Newburyport. Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Merton C. and Grace P. (Hutt) Walker.

Raised and educated in Haverhill, Roberts was a graduate of Haverhill High School’s class of 1950. She went on to attend McIntosh Business School in Haverhill and was employed for 42 years as a secretary for Haverhill Electric and Massachusetts Electric companies. She was a volunteer for many years at the Haverhill Public Library and a member of the Women’s City Club. She enjoyed traveling, gourmet cooking and fine dining. She was an avid collector and cat lover.

Roberts was predeceased by her brother, Merton, and is survived by her sister-in-law Peg Eason, brother-in-law John Roberts and his wife Arline. She was a devoted aunt to her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and will be missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, June 9 from 9-11 a.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Avenue, Haverhill.
