On the heels of a study that confirms the Merrimack River is navigable between downtown Haverhill and Newburyport, free kayaking lessons are planned for Thursday, June 7.
From 6:30-7:30 p.m., locals may receive instruction by Plum Island Kayak’s Ken Taylor free of charge. Taylor will offer the hour-long lesson at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge Complex, 6 Plum Island Turnpike in Newburyport.
No advance registration is required for the event offered by the Merrimack Valley Watershed Council.
