Patricia M. ‘Pat’ (Scalese) Zangari, 71, Worked at Haverhill’s Charisma Hair Salon

Patricia M. “Pat” (Scalese) Zangari, of Bradford, passed away on May 27 at her home surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was 71 years old. She was the beloved wife of 50 years to Thomas R. Zangari. She was the devoted mother of Jennifer E. Kirby and her husband Warren of Bradford and Rebecca A. Sansone and her husband John of Bradford.

Born in Haverhill on Oct. 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Donovan) Scalese. She was the loving “Grammie” of her 3 grandchildren who were the loves of her life, Tyler, Lucio, and Gabryella. Her life was all about family and spending time together. Zangari centered her life on her grandchildren and she lived it to the fullest, enjoying every minute with them. Her love for her family will always hold a special place in all our hearts. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners, gardening in her yard, and traveling with her husband spending her winters in Florida. She was a woman in style and loved to shop and her famous quote was “Buy both if you can’t decide.”

Zangari loved to spend time at the ocean and walk on the beach and collect seashells. She was a caring woman who would do anything for anyone and her fun personality and beautiful smile lit up a room when she walked in. She will be forever missed in our hearts but we will never forget all the cherished memories we have spent together. See you at the beach, “Mom.”

Born and raised in Bradford, she was a graduate of Haverhill High School, Class of 1964. She graduated from the Wilfred Academy of Hairdressing and was employed at the Charisma Hair Salon in Haverhill.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on May 30 from 4-8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home 210 South Main St. (Rt.125) Bradford. Her funeral will be held on May 31 starting at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at noon at Sacred Hearts Church 165 South Main St. Bradford.
