Janet A. (Wightman) Sarrette, 61, Former IRS Employee

Janet A. (Wightman) Sarrette, 61, the wife of George E. Sarrette, passed away May 21 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Columbia, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Richard O. and Doris J. (Michener) Wightman. Sarrette was a graduate of Sacred Hearts High School in Kingston with the class of 1975. She was employed with the Internal Revenue Service and the telephone company. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved being a stay-at-home mom. Sarrette enjoyed traveling around New England, especially the mountains and the beaches. She also loved playing cards and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Megan C. Sarrette and her fiance Michael Marquez of Haverhill, Mallory A. Sarrette and her fiance TaRay Faust of Haverhill, brothers, Major General U.S. Army Retired Richard O. Wightman, Jr. and his wife Gina, Robert Wightman and Daniel Wightman, all of Florida, and Stephen Wightman of Haverhill. She also leaves behind seven adored grandchildren, Adriana, Angelyna, Elijah, Adrian, Jr., Tamiah, QuRon and Christian and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, May 26 from 2-5 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 5 p.m.
