NECC Baseball Kicks Off 3-Game Tourney in Junior College World Series Bid

The Northern Essex Community College Knights clinched their seventh consecutive regional baseball championship this week and are set to kick off a best of three tournament Friday morning in a bid for a spot in the Junior College World Series.

Beating Quinsigamond Community College 5-4 at Haverhill’s Trinity Stadium on Monday, the Knights have home field advantage as they face New York’s Suffolk County Community College in the District F Super Regional final.

First pitch is set for 11 a.m., with games played Friday through Sunday. At stake is a trip to the Division 3 Junior College World Series, played later this month in Greeneville, Tenn.
