Rebecca Jo (Steinman) Flynn, 34, Respiratory Director at Whittier Rehab

Rebecca Jo (Steinman) Flynn, 34, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Haverhill on Monday, May 7.

Born and raised in Haverhill, Flynn graduated from Haverhill High School, with the class of 2001. She continued studies at Northern Essex Community College and Southern New Hampshire University and worked as a respiratory therapist for Tewksbury State Hospital before her current position as respiratory director at Whittier Rehab in Haverhill.

Flynn was a fitness enthusiast and avid runner who enjoyed running road races, most notably the Garibaldi River Run, a road race in memory of her brother Eric. Above all, she was a devoted mother to her children who cherished every moment spent in their company. Flynn will always be remembered for her quick wit, sarcasm, work ethic, sass and infectious laugh.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joel and Eric Steinman, maternal grandfather Alfred Emilio and paternal grandmother Beatrice Cieslak.

To say she will be sorely missed is an understatement: She is survived by her adoring children, Connor, Aubrey and Owen (Gus) Flynn, her parents Earl and Judith (Emilio) Steinman of Haverhill, her brother, Jared Steinman, niece Olivia, nephew Kyle, maternal grandmother Dorothy Emilio of Haverhill and paternal grandfather Earl Steinman, of Michigan. She leaves her companion Keith Ferreira of Haverhill, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, May 10 from 3-5 p.m. in the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Burial will be privately held in St. James Cemetery, Haverhill. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Flynn’s GoFundMe account to benefit her children.
