A 40-year-old male was transported to Holy Family Hospital last night where he was pronounced dead after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest on Emerson Street at Grand Avenue according to a spokesperson for the Essex County District Attorney’s office.
The man’s name has not yet been released.
The shooting was reported at 112 Emerson St. at nearly 11 p.m. Sunday night. First responders were called to the address for one male victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. According to Haverhill police, the event is being investigated by the Essex County District Attorney’s office. More information will be posted as it becomes available.
