A highway maintenance project begins this week on Interstate 495, north and south, from exit 52 (Route 110) in Haverhill, all the way to the Interstate 95 junction in Salisbury.

The work is generally expected to take place between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Friday each week. Lane closure and temporary ramp closures will be implemented during these hours at various locations throughout the project.

Work is expected to take approximately two months and will include replacing pavement markings and guardrail delineators.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation warns that the work is weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change without notice.
