William F. Connor, 83, of Haverhill passed away on Monday, April 30 at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport.

Born in Waltham on February 24, 1935 the son of the late Francis and Barbara (Brooks) Connor, Connor was educated in the Somerville school system and graduated from Boston College High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army and served our country honorably during the Korean War.

He was a graduate of Boston College and earned his Master’s Degree from Boston State University. He taught in Somerville and Burlington High Schools, was a sales representative for McGraw-Hill Book Company and Director of Training for Chesterton, Inc.

His love of his grandchildren, the Bruins, Patriots and all things golf was legendary! He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Jacquelyn Ann (Shields) Connor of Haverhill, six daughters, Debbie (John) Amoroso of North Reading, Kathryn (Brian) Shaughnessy of Bedford, Carey Connor of Elliot, Maine, Tracey Connor of Berwick, Maine, Julie (Michael) Torrisi of West Newbury and Christianne (Steven) Filipi of Fitzwilliam, N.H., sisters, Patricia (William) Metz of Sarasota, Fla. and Brenda (Peter) Russo of Barnegat Light, N.J., 17 grandchildren, Mike, Dave, Keiron, Kelly Anne, Chris, Nick, Torielle, Will, Michael, Tommy, Isabella, Grace, Matthew, Mark, John, Marie and Timothy, three great grandchildren, Colton, Olivia and Dominic, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday, May 3 from 5 – 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer and Sons Bradford Funeral Home, 210 South Main St., Bradford.

His Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at Sacred Heart Church, 165 South Main St. Bradford. Interment will be private and at the convenience of his family.
