Attorney General Maura Healey and Haverhill Mayor James J. Fiorentini are bringing drug prevention education to Haverhill middle-schoolers in an event scheduled to take place Wednesday afternoon at the John Greenleaf Whittier Middle School.

A roundtable discussion between Healey, Fiorentini, school officials and students focused on healthy decision-making and prevention introduces “Project Here,” a public-private collaboration to make substance use prevention education available to every public middle school in Massachusetts through integrated in-classroom and digital learning experiences.

The goal of Project Here is to educate students about the risks and consequences of using or experimenting with drugs, empower them to help others, and give them the tools they need to make healthy decisions.
