A Haverhill man pleaded guilty in a Boston federal court Friday to his role in the drug trafficking of fentanyl, heroin and oxycodone across Massachusetts and Florida.

Twenty-three-year-old Jesus Gonzalez pleaded guilty on charges of conspiracy to distribute and to possess fentanyl, oxycodone and heroin, according to U.S. Attorney Andrew E. Lelling’s office.

Gonzalez also entered a guilty plea on a money laundering charge.

The Haverhill man was arrested in March 2017 alongside several co-defendants for his role in the multi-state opioid trafficking ring and money laundering effort. Court documents say Gonzalez conspired to obtain oxycodone pills from Florida and ship them to Massachusetts for distribution. He also participated in a conspiracy to launder and conceal proceeds from drug deals using funnel bank accounts to send money to Florida.

If convicted, Gonzalez faces possible prison time, supervised release and assorted fines. He will be sentenced on August 2.
