Lorraine T. (Lambert) Langlois, 92, Began Her Career in Local Shoe Industry

Lorraine T. (Lambert) Langlois, 92, a former longtime resident of Haverhill, died April 16 at Ocean Side Nursing Home in Hampton, N.H.

Born and raised in Haverhill, the daughter of the late Otis and Antoinette (Gauron) Lambert, she attended Haverhill schools and graduated from St. James High School. She worked briefly as a young woman in the local shoe industry and was a member of All Saints Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish.

Primarily a housewife and homemaker, Langlois will be remembered best as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished time with her family. She also enjoyed painting and knitting.
In addition to her parents, Langlois was predeceased by her husband Albert M. Langlois in 1991 and brothers, Raymond Langlois, Leo Langlois and Richard Langlois and her sister Cecile Lambert.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by daughters and sons-in-law, Paula M. and William Batchelder of Hampton Falls, N.H., and Linda M. and Phil St. Pierre of Sandown, N.H., a son Bert N. Langlois of Haverhill, grandchildren, Kristie L. Aversano and her husband Scott, Janice M. Lowe and her husband John, Mark Canney, and Eric Langlois, great-grandchildren, Tyler S. Aversano, Ashley T. Aversano, Cole Lowe, Brody Lowe, Jacob Lowe, and Kylie Langlois, and nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, April 19 from 5-7 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Association of Massachusetts and New Hampshire, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA.
