Frances T. Verrette, 91, Retired from Aetna

Frances T. Verrette, 91, died April 8 at Haverhill Crossings’ Assisted Living.

Born in Newburyport on May 3, 1927, she was one of two daughters of the late Frank J. Verrette and the late Caroline M.(Dondero) Verrette. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Parochial School, Amesbury High School class of 1944 and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Boston University in 1948.

Verrette had a lifelong career at the Aetna Company.

Her passions included walking, fine dining, classic movies and traveling. Her deep-rooted love of dogs never diminished.

She leaves behind three nieces and a nephew, George A. Verrette Jr., Kara L. Verrette, Laura G. Verrette and husband Todd Proia all of Haverhill, Christina Verrette of Waldoboro, Maine, and one grand-niece, Lucy V. Scholz of Eugene, Ore.

She was predeceased by her sister, Louise Charney, her brother George A. Verrette Sr. and is survived by his wife, Janice(Schena) Verrette of Haverhill.

Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery is private.
