Andover’s Dan Koh Officially Enters Congressional Race

Andover’s Dan Koh is the first candidate to file nomination papers in the 3rd District congressional race, having filed the 2,000 certified signatures that are needed to get on the ballot on March 27.

“Today is a special day,” said Koh. “My family immigrated to this country from Korea and Lebanon. They worked in the mills in Lawrence, served in the military, and left a better life for the next generation. As a result, their Korean-Lebanese grandson has the chance to be the Congressman from his hometown.”

Koh most recently served as Chief of Staff to Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, where he managed 18,000 employees and a $3 billion budget during one of the most prosperous four-year stretches in Boston’s history. In Congress, Koh says he will stand up to President Trump and promote universal healthcare and a forward-looking jobs program so that everyone can get ahead.
