Missing Methuen Man Found and Arrested

Michael Meuse of Methuen is in custody after avoiding state police for over a week.

Meuse was originally reported missing by his wife who said he was last seen leaving his house on March 20, at which time Methuen police launched a social media campaign to find him that sparked hundreds of shares.

On March 26, a sighting of the man prompted state police to change his status from “missing” to “wanted,” and subsequently led to his arrest.

Meuse was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography and taken to Bridgewater State Hospital for evaluation, according to state police. He will be arraigned at a later date.
