UPDATE: Given the winter storm forecast for Wednesday, organizers have postponed the panel discussion originally scheduled for March 21. The event will now take place in May and additional details will follow from the Committee as soon as they are finalized.

With a crowded Democratic ballot going into the race to succeed the 3rd District’s Niki Tsongas, Haverhill’s Democratic City Committee wants to help voters make a more informed decision.

On Wednesday, the city political group will welcome those on the ballot to a public meet and greet dinner at Maria’s restaurant, 81 Essex St., Haverhill.

The meal starts at 5:30 p.m. and candidates will rotate from table to table to talk with voters from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Members of the public are invited for a $5 fee. The admission charged is waived for students.

Candidates expected to attend include Alexandra Chandler, Sen. Barbara L’Italien, Daniel Koh, Abhijit “Beej” Das, Rufus Gifford, Patrick Littlefield, Bopha T. Malone, Rep. Juana Matias, Terence Ryan, Keith St. John, Lori Trahan, Leonard Golder and Jeff Ballinger.
