Methuen Police are asking for the public’s help in naming a man who stole more than $4,000 in lottery tickets Friday night from a Lowell Street liquor store.

Police said a man, caught on surveillance video, below, walked into Methuen Package Store and asked the clerk to process seven Keno tickets. Each ticket was filled out to play $20 per game and 30 games totaling $600 per ticket. The clerk entered the tickets, handed them to the man and asked for the $4,200 payment. The man, however, ran out of the store without paying and fled on foot towards Bolduc Street.

The lottery thief is described as a light skinned Hispanic male in his mid-20s and wearing all black clothing and a gray hat.

Those with any information are asked to call the Methuen Police Department at 978-983-8698.
